The best and nicest in "Acapulco, your
personal guide". To write this guide, the authors spent 9 months in
Acapulco, researching and taking photos... it is a privilege for us to
have this new guide that will provide tourists with practical and

Mazatlan to Acapulco and others beaches.
by Bruce Whippe |
Stretching over 1,000 miles along the Pacific coast from Mazatlán in Sinaloa down to Bahias de Huatulco. The choices of tropical, palm-lined lagoons and soft sandy beaches seem without end yet easily accessible. Yet not each beach resort town is the same in character and opportunities. One of the great services rendered by Whipperman's handbook, before you ever set foot on Mexican soil, is the concise yet evocative description of the distinguishing personalities of the many towns and cities along the water. This book is especially useful if you're venturing south for the first time. Of course he backs his narrative up with all the facts one might need, the hotels and restaurants, means of transportation and nightlife, shopping, sports, sights, and beaches. |

True stories about Acapulco's famous
(and infamous) visitors. |
True stories about Acapulco's famous (and infamous) visitors. If you are a celebrity and have ever visited Acapulco (and who hasn't?), then you have undoubtedly been interviewed by Mike Oliver. Mike got you going and coming. If you did not appear in the pages of the Acapulco News under his byline: "Mike Oliver's Acapulco," you surely appeared in a press release in every newspaper, world wide, serviced by United Press International...usually in both. |

And what could be better. Hollenbeck's action packed story takes us through a former SEAL team member's effort to right a wrong. Wasting no time, the heavy action starts on page nine and rolls merrily along for the next 200 pages. It's a perfect "flight shortener" if you're prone to the tedium of commercial aviation. The SEAL tactics and gear are especially well employed in this very fast moving tale that leave Walter Mitty folks like myself wanting more. A wonderful first hack at fiction for Hollenbeck. |

Over the past three years, Frommer's Mexico has made itself nearly dispensable for both new and experienced travelers to Mexico. The improvements should make this the must-have guide for visitors to Mexico. Coverage has expanded to include destinations off the beaten track. The writing has improved and the tourist tips have become more reliable. Perhaps most importantly, Frommer's Mexico shows a love of Mexico that translates its excitement about the country and its people to its readers. |
